Naresh paints stories and imagery from his native village Talasari, located in the Thane District of Maharashtra and has developed a unique style by imbibing motifs from other folk and tribal paintings, thereby enriching his own practice. In his earlier works, he was fascinated with depicting trees which have taken a central place in his paintings, along with newer motifs. He aims to innovate motifs within Warli tradition which can enhance his paintings.
