Every state in India has a unique art or craft form, and it is our endeavour to represent each and every state, such as Madhubani from Bihar, Temple paintings from Kerala, Tanjore from Tamil Nadu, Kalamkari and Leather Puppets from Andhra Pradesh, Mata ni Pachedi and Rathwa paintings from Gujarat, Kalighat and Scrolls from West Bengal, Gond from Madhya Pradesh and Warlis from Maharashtra.

Arts of the Earth was initiated more than a decade ago to showcase and promote the myriad folk and tribal art traditions in India through exhibitions on its premises and also through exclusive art fairs.  We were awarded the ‘Best Craftsmanship’ award at the Imagine fest organised by the Hindustan Times group in Delhi. We remain, to this day, the only gallery exclusively showcasing indigenous folk and tribal art.

About Founder: Meena Varma & Siddhartha Tagore founded the contemporary art gallery Art Knsoult which has been in existence in1995. She was associated to the gallery for 14 years. Prior to the existence of Art Konsult, she had single handedly organised numerous shows, such as 'The Old Masters' exhibtion at The Taj Palace, 'The Midnight Art Bazaar' at The Park and a solo show of the American artist, Lee Waisler at the NGMA. She also organised a fund-raising auction of contemporary Masters on behalf of the World Widelife Fund (WWF) in 1997.

In the year 2010 she founded Arts of the Earth, a gallery exclusively dedicated to promoting traditional Indian art & artists. Since the opening of Arts of the Earth, we have done innumerable shows at our gallery and also in  venues outside the gallery such as India Habitat Centre, The Imagine Fest, India Art Festival and India Art Fair.
