We Packed your artwork neatly and professionally, it also minimizes the chances of damage during couriering. To pack the artwork neatly and professionally, the following material we used:
1. Glassine Paper/Butter Paper or Plastic Sheet.
2. Bubble Wrap/Thermocol
3. Sealant like sellotape, brown packing tape
4. Masking tape
5. A container for the painting – a PVC tube for a roll, and a crate for framed/stretched artwork.
Here’s how we pack your art.
1. We protect the painting with a layer of butter paper/ Plastic sheet on the painted surface. Any material that comes in contact with the surface of the painting could potentially damage it.
2. We use the correct types of packing paper like glassine/ butter paper as the first layer between the painting and any packing material like bubble wrap. WE DO NOT use printed paper, newspaper, or anything printed with ink to create the first layer of packing.
3. Now we roll the canvas/ paper and cover it in a layer of bubble wrap to protect from moisture.
4. We Insert the roll into a PVC or Cardboard tube and seal it from both ends.
The anxiety around receiving a couriered artwork can indeed be great. Depending on where you are in the world, the delivery of your artwork will take approximately 10-15 days from the time that you place the order. We will do our best to keep you informed at every stage, and you will be notified of the courier details by email and SMS. In most cases, you can also track the shipment online.
We know you’re disappointed about receiving an artwork that has been damaged in transit. Don’t worry, all you need to do is send us photographs of the artwork, indicating the nature of the damage at artsoftheearth213@gmail.com We will assess the claim and issue you a credit note if found valid.
