Riwan was born to Sidik Khatri, a Rogan Artist in Nirona, well-known for Rogan art. His father was a master artist and is retired now. Rizwan and his brother learned the art from their father and then reinvented it themselves. Rizwan tried innovationslike painting Rogan art on Denim cloth, Saris, Dupattas, Dresses, Palazzos, and even traditional jackets for men. He assisted the designers in Lakme Show in creating mesmerising designs using Rogan art.
