The Beautiful Pichwai painting showcases 24 forms of Shrinathji, depicting Krishna revered in the Pushti Bhakti Marg of Sri Vallabhacharya. In the centre, Shrinathji is depicted in his temple, surrounded by adoring Gopis. Below, scenes from Vrindavan illustrate Krishna with Balarama and as the deity of Govardhana. Surrounding the central panel are 26 smaller ones, each showing Shrinathji worshipped in different attire by priests, representing the 24 seasons. Pichwai art emerged from beautifying background cloth sheets behind Srinathji's statue, creating a genre focused on him. The elaborate customs of worship were founded by Vallabhacharya, emphasising loving service to Krishna. Located in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, Srinathji's temple is adorned with these intricate, hand-painted Pichwai artworks, showcasing devotion and tradition.
